Hanna Herasimchyk since 2021 he had been living in a two-room apartment in via Del Citra in Pozzuolo Martesana, in the eastern hinterland of Milan. For ten years she worked as dancer in nightclubsuntil he decided to change his life. However, it had been a long time since the 46-year-old Belarusian had left that apartment. “She badly needed to be heard“, said a friend of hers. The 46-year-old was found lifeless at dawn on Thursday 14 June by her partner and the cause of death is still a mystery.

The investigators’ hypotheses and the arguments with his partner

Initial autopsy results established that Herasimchyk died from suffocation, but no reason has yet been found. Among the hypotheses there is both overdose and femicide. Meanwhile, the Prosecutor’s Office has opened a murder case against unknown persons.

The ex-dancer’s friend, interviewed by Republic, said he told investigators that the woman he often argued with his partner, a 43 year old Polish lorry driver. “They put their hands on each other”, he declared, but now he “says he has lost the reason for his life” and, at least for the moment, he is not under investigation.

Former nightclub dancer found dead by her partner in Pozzuolo Martesana: all the doubts of the investigators

In the past, however, numerous arguments between the two of them were reported to the police, although no complaint was ever filed. The last discussion it would have occurred just two days before Herasimchyk’s death.

The years as a dancer and depression

“She performed in nightclubs for ten years,” the 46-year-old’s friend said, “she said that she did it to find a husband“. When she was still in Minsk, Belarus, Herasimchyk had met a Colombian mining engineer and for two years she lived with her family in South America. Then, upon returning home, she decided to follow another boyfriend to Italy, who however he would abandon her shortly thereafter.

In recent years the 46-year-old would have fallen into a strong state of depression that kept her locked up at home: “He didn’t even go out to throw away the rubbish”, continues the friend who remembers how sometimes “it happened that she drank alone at home“. Even the mayor of Pozzuolo, Angelo Maria Caterina, stated that few knew her despite having lived there for some time.

The carabinieri of the Pioltello Company and the Investigative Unit are investigating Herasimchyk’s death, coordinated by prosecutor Francesca Crupi, and the hope of those who knew her is that “she didn’t commit suicide“. The friend of the former nightclub dancer, however, recalls how in January the 46-year-old had mentioned a similar speech: “‘It’s not a given that I’ll be alive tomorrow morning‘he told me after a day of arguing on the phone. But the conversation never came back.”
