MILAZZO – Over 100 grams of hashish, they were seized by the Carabinieri of the Milazzo Company who, in recent days, on charges of possession for the purpose of dealing narcotic substances, arrested, in flagrante delicto, a 22-year-old foreigner, without a residence permit on Italian territory.

The arrest and seizure of the drugs were carried out by a patrol of soldiers from the Motorcycle Team Radiomobile Section, engaged in a territorial control service in Milazzo, also aimed at preventing and combating drug crimes.

While they were inside a building to carry out a notification, the Carabinieri were attracted by a strong smell of drugs coming from one of the apartments. Given this evidence, the military decided to raid the house, where they found three non-EU citizens, including the 22-year-old, blocked just as he was trying to escape from the window.

Following a house search, in the wardrobe of the bedroom used by the suspect, among the clothes, the military found and seized over 100 grams of hashish, partly already divided into doses ready for transfer, a precision scale soaked in the narcotic substance and the material probably used for the packaging of the drug. Furthermore, from the checks carried out immediately, the 22-year-old foreigner and a roommate were also found to not have a residence permit on Italian territory.

Conducted to the barracks under arrest, the young pusher now finds himself confined in the Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto prison at the disposal of the judicial authorities. The seized drugs were sent to the RIS Carabinieri in Messina for the relevant laboratory analyses.
