Numerous people attended the Eucharistic procession last night, the final act of the feast of the Precious Blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ in Ragusa.
Immediately after the solemn Eucharistic concelebration presided over by the bishop of the diocese of Ragusa, Msgr. Giuseppe La Placa, and with the participation of the new deacons Don Luca Roccaro and Don Giuseppe Cascone, the priest Giuseppe Russelli, parish priest of the Precious Blood, and the faithful, with the votive candle, forming two wings, preceded in silence the monstrance under the canopy carried by the deacon Cascone.
During the holy mass, which saw among others the presence of the mayor, Giuseppe Cassì, the meaning of the feast days linked to the Precious Blood was remembered but above all the meaning that the parish wanted to give to the celebrations, characterized by a constant reminder to sobriety and brotherhood.
The intense processional phase unfolded through the main streets of the neighborhood.
The prayers made the spiritual aspect of the celebration even more significant and intense. In the evening, then, symphonic marches were held performed by the “Alessandro Scarlatti” band of the City of Chiaramonte Gulfi, directed by maestro Sebastiano Gurrieri.
To conclude, the fireworks show by Lorenzo Massari’s Pirotecnica iblea company which was much appreciated by those present. Furthermore, the initiatives included in the recreational program during the week were very popular.
In particular, the seventh edition of the mixed human table football tournament and the porchetta and cannoli festival whose final evening on Saturday evening was well attended with numerous people tasting the delicacies prepared with the utmost attention by the expert hands of the organizers .
All seasoned with the possibility of seeing the Italian national team match on the big screen. “This year too – states the parish priest, Don Giuseppe Russelli – we can certainly say that a certainly successful edition of the festival has been archived.

Ours is a very populous neighborhood and the heartfelt participation in yesterday’s procession demonstrates how attention towards the search for an intimate spirituality is increasingly increasing”.
