At the 2024 OCR (Obstacle Course Race) European Championships, the highest continental obstacle course competition held in Folgaria, on Alpe Cimbra, Italy shines overall with 24 medals won, including the elite bronze of the Trentino Pintarelli and gold master of the Mantuan Dambruoso, emblematic of the notable growth of the discipline and the movement thanks to the activity of the FIOCR, the association representing obstacle racing.
After the world title, Francesca Dambruoso redeems the 2023 European silver, thus becoming Master champion of the 100m (12 obstacles), a format similar to the one present as the new fifth discipline of the Modern Pentathlon at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, at the end of a final against her twin Elizabeth. From the spectacular race also come the medals of Yuri Prezzi, first in the new Adaptive category (Para OCR), of the pentathlete Sara Beggio, second in the Youth won by Oliver Addy (UK) and Kira Chizhkova (EOSF), and of Alberto Miotti, third in the Junior won by Carmel Ron Amoyal (ISR) and Anna Garlacz (POL). Among the elite gold for Katarzyna Jonaczyk (POL) and Artem Korobkov (EOSF), while Karol Kudrelek (POL) is the Master champion.
