A Molotov cocktail exploded last night in front of a house in via Trieste in Ardea, province of Rome, inside the Nuova Florida residential complex.

A Molotov cocktail exploded last night in front of a house in via Trieste to Ardea, province of Rome, within the Nuova Florida residential complex. Around 10.30 pm the residents heard a violent explosion and so, following the report, the Ardea police and firefighters arrived on site.

According to what we learn, a Ford Focus was completely destroyed by the explosion, which also involved some gas and water meter panels. This would have caused the car to start a fire, which was put out first by the owners and then definitively by the firefighters.

Traces of a rudimentary device were found on site. The Carabinieri immediately started investigations into what happened and at the moment no leads have been ruled out, including that of a settling of accounts.

To try to reconstruct the episode and identify those responsible, the military is examining the footage from the surveillance cameras installed in the area and is questioning residents to seek useful information to establish the objectives and instigators of the explosion.

For the moment, as mentioned, no leads have been ruled out: a prank by some boy? A real act of intimidation? The result of a dispute between relatives or neighbors? Fortunately, no one was injured following the explosion of the bomb.
