“I went as a fan and manager of Italian football and I was impressed by the climate we experience, by the enthusiasm of the boys and the coach. I am very optimistic for the future. We are reigning champions and, as such, we are in the crosshairs of our adversaries. But it is clear that this is a group with great human and technical bases.” Thus the president of Inter Beppe Marotta he told the microphones of Radio Anch’io Sport on Rai Radio 1 his feelings on the winning European debut of Spalletti’s national team against Albania, experienced live at the Dortmund stadium.
After Mancini and Spalletti, do you see another Nerazzurri coach like Inzaghi in the national team in the future? “Inzaghi is very young and still has time to gain experience. This year he has made a notable leap forward, he is a modern technician who combines professional qualities with human ones. Obviously the pressure placed on him is great, he is the technical manager of a world club and as such requires certain results to be achieved. I am very happy and optimistic about his future, the hope is that he can remain with us for many years.”
What will be the day Lautaro signs for the renewal? “Virtually he has already signed. We have to collect the signature and, since he is busy with his national team, it is only a matter of a few days but there are no problems. We consider Lautaro’s renewal already acquired.”
