The protest of the residents of via Dusnasi
VERCELLI – They wrote several times to the municipal managers, receiving a response but without resolving the problem. We are talking about the inhabitants of via Dusnasi, Canadà district, a few meters from the football fields. Parking intended for residents has been available for almost four months “hostage” of the green cuttings that the Municipality has made. Everything was abandoned, with the inevitable barrier surrounding it, in the square.
«They told us they would come to collect everything but it never happened» – the inhabitants write to us – «They took away our parking spaces. There is a risk of fire. It’s definitely unhygienic. Yet they did nothing. We thought that at least during the election campaign they would quickly put the situation right. Instead, nothing. They just cordoned off and for them the problem is solved”.
The residents also attached the Municipality’s response email. It’s from May 27th (but the cuttings have been there for much longer. At least since March). It is written: “Good morning, the work to remove the branches deposited in via Dusnasi will begin during the current week. We apologize for the inconvenience”. The protocol, to be precise, is number 37,662.
The week indicated by the Environment Service should have been from 27 May to 2 June. Today is Sunday June 16th. Exactly 21 days have passed since the municipal response. Many more since the branches were piled up in the parking lot. It would therefore be time to intervene.
The election campaign of “mister preferences” (we mention him as he struts as the absolute protagonist of the outgoing council and flaunts the availability of a Goodness Award) has ended, also with undoubted success.
