The “big day” of the Verdi Olympics began this morning, that is, the one that will decide the winning team of this tenth edition.
The ranking is still open but, with 96 teams participating, a leading group is starting to emerge which will be difficult for some to catch despite the extra points and wildcards to be played. But for the public it will still be a great show, with all the attention paid to the finals until 6.30 pm, when the Basket Connect 4 in Piazza Matteotti, the Canotto Race in Peschiera, the Green Tennis on the sports field and the shooting arch in the small square of the fortress will end the battles. From 2.30pm, on the stage in Piazza Verdi, there will be a real “non-stop” of emotions with the awards ceremony for the various disciplines that will continue until 8pm, the time of the BoomBand show. The grand finale will once again be led by the “hyena” Niccolò Torielli, who around 9pm will announce the name of the dominators of the “OVX” as well as, naturally, the best “Verdi” interpretation of the initial parade and the quantity of plastic caps collected for the Friends Without Borders Onlus association.
