The methane arrives in La Ripa, a hamlet of Montespertoli overlooking the Media Pesa, towards Cerbaia. Work has begun on the extension of the gas network, which will be completed on 31 July. In these weeks, the hilly road will also face partial closures to traffic. The ordinance is from the Municipality. It will therefore be necessary to pay close attention to the signs installed on site, both at the intersection with the provincial road on the ridge, the 81 della Romita between San Quirico and Montagnana, and on the Sp 4 Volterrana between Montagnana and Cerbaia. The alternative itineraries to reach the inhabited areas of this hillside and above all the artisanal and industrial area will in fact ‘play out’ on the two provincial roads.
Until 6pm on 31 July 2024, these traffic measures will be adopted in detail in via Ripa: parking ban with forced removal on both sides from number 151 up to the junction with via Volterrana Nord; ban on transit from number 151 to number 167; transit ban from number 151 up to the junction with via dell’Artigianato (except for the inhabitants of some houses specified in the Municipality provision9; one-way alternating with traffic lights or even movieri in the stretch between the junction with via dell’Artigianato (which is in the industrial area) up to the junction with Via Volterrana Nord (the Sp 4). The ‘Centria’ company is taking care of the works which will also leave a legacy of the resurfacing of sections of the road. After the summer, the methane will be available also available to all interested citizens of La Ripa who can request the connections to be made, free of charge.
