New single by “Testimoni di Genova”: “Andiamo in Liguria”, the saudade of the emigrant Ila Scattina and the voice of Leslie Abbadini

From Forestia with fury. The Bergamo singer’s request: «Take me to eat white pizza». The inevitable response is a threat from the Genoese director, author, photographer and cartoonist who has lived in the province of Bergamo for some time. Then the queues on the motorway, the prices, the traditional (bad) Ligurian welcome suspended (only momentarily) for an excellent “early season” reason: «Come to Liguria, the stalls are over»

It is probably because of this worrying type of invitation (and for having heard the prices of a sixth row umbrella on the local beaches) that, in the end, «THeTESTIMONI» (the Witnesses of Genoa – Uncle Singer Production) give up the weekend blitz.

The song written by Ila Scattina and arranged with Matteo Marchese, was played by both together with Andy Brevi, Andy Ronchi and Teo Airoldi. Also in the video are Stefano Ulivieri (the tall forest man) and Emilio Pastorino (the Witness).

“Andiamo in Liguria” is a funny song, fully inserted in the more traditional “foreigners go home, but send us the money” trend of our home comedy, which with irony (but great effectiveness) analyzes the reasons why we lose so many visitors who would come if the reception was more similar to that of the Romagna Riviera, in some cases for purely orographic reasons (the small beaches that the concessionaires make use of with higher prices than some other Italian beaches, but also the chronic lack of parking spaces), in others exquisitely linked to the roughness of us children of the Superb, in others still they suffer from the lack of road infrastructure.

I Testimoni di Genova-Uncle Singer Production (in addition to Ila Scattina, also Emilio Pastorino (video maker and motion graphic designer, Rocco Bergamelli (video make, photographer, DOP), Stefano Ulivieri (web designer) and Chiara Colombo (copywriter), together to some collaborators) have produced in recent years a fun series of videos including music. A recent documentary of a completely different kind, “Identico a me” which, through the stories of drug addiction and rebirth within the AGA therapeutic community (Association Anti-drug Parents), tells the depth that lies behind the problem of addictions and the work and emotions that are experienced in community life, to reveal that ultimately we are all the same documentary can be seen on Amazon Prime at this link.
