Wild Toprak Razgatlioglu. The BMW Turk dominated race 1 of the Emilia Romagna GP in Misano, preceding the Ducati Of Nicolò Bulega and Alvaro Bautista. Andrew Locatelli with the Yamaha of the Prometeon team he finished in fourth place ahead of the Kawasaki of Alex Lowes. Australia’s Remy Gardner was sixth, ahead of Ducati Andrea Iannone. Ninth place for Danilo Petrucciagain on Ducati.

The race only experienced some moments of brawling at the beginning, at least in the top positions. Gardner took the lead shortly after the start, while Jonathan Rea crashed almost immediately. Razgatlioglu got behind the Australian and started to set his pace, which soon became impossible for everyone. Gardner was then also overtaken by the Ducatis of Bautista and Bulega, by Locatelli and Alex Lowes. As Toprak pulled away, Bulega lit up behind him, passing Bautista and maintaining second place until the finish line. Seventh place for Andrea Iannone, who after the race complained about some set-up problems with the front end to work on. Good placing for Danilo Petrucci, ninth.
