The Turkish BMW rider thus takes himself to the top of the World Championship MISANO ADRIATICO (ITALPRESS) – Absolute domination by Toprak Razgatlioglu in Misano, in the Pirelli Emilia-Romagna Round of the Superbike World Championship. The Turkish BMW driver won Race 1 at the Misano World Circuit “Marco Simoncelli”, and thus moves to the top of the drivers’ standings, with 142 points. The last time a BMW driver was at the top of the World Championship was 2012, with Marco Melandri.
However, Aruba.it Racing-Ducati remains in front, with second and third places for Nicolò Bulega and Alvaro Bautista. After reaching the Superpole, Razgatlioglu dominated Race 1. Some difficulties for the reigning world champion Bautista who struggled to find the rhythm in the first laps and did not hide the problems in finding a coherent race set-up for his Panigale V4 R. Excellent second place for Bulega who showed a strong pace and stability throughout Race 1. Fourth place for Andrea Locatelli (Pata Prometeon Yamaha), ahead of Alex Lowes and Remy Gardner.
