Magistrate Stefano Venturini died after a road accident. He had served at the Rieti Court: condolences from his Rieti colleagues

Stefano Venturini, 63, one of the most popular magistrates who served in the Rieti court, has died at S. Andrea in Rome after a road accident. In the accident, the judge had suffered several fractures to his limbs, a head injury and brain edema and for this reason he had been transferred to intensive care. Despite every attempt by the doctors, the magistrate died.

The news of the disappearance is rapidly making the rounds in the Rieti judicial circles, where the judge, during his stay in Piazza Bachelet, was able to create a solid working relationship with his fellow magistrates and lawyers.

From Tagliacozzo in Abruzzo, Venturini then returned to the Avezzano court in 2008, where he remained until 2016, presiding over the judging panel in delicate debates, before becoming an advisor to the Court of Appeal.

The note from the criminal chamber of Rieti

“With great sorrow the Rieti Criminal Chamber learned of the passing of judge Stefano Venturini, an esteemed magistrate, a man of great humanity and intelligence, a person of exquisite affability and courtesy, both institutional and personal. The memory remains dear among those among his friends and members who had the pleasure of knowing him during the long years of exercising his functions in our Court, years characterized by seriousness and impartiality in the exercise of jurisdiction but accompanied by closeness and cordiality in the common life of the Hole. He will be missed by everyone and, above all, by those who, for age reasons, did not have the pleasure of knowing him and will not now be able to hope to meet him even if only professionally. Our deepest condolences and our most sincere closeness go to his family and to his dearest loved ones.”
