It’s still a party in Foiano della Chiana. The Summer Carnival returns this evening: there won’t be any floats but there are many initiatives and fun is guaranteed. To tell the truth, we already started last night with the dinner of a thousand and the Shine on Glitter Summer Party in front of the construction sites, the very ones from which the papier-mâché giants emerge on the first Sunday of Carnival to open the doors. An evening of celebration and fun that started at happy hour and then went on until the small hours with the music of the DJ set. “The summer edition is also now an eagerly awaited moment which, in addition to involving the Italian public, aims also to make our event known to the many tourists from all over the world who arrive in Tuscany in this period – explains the President of the Foiano Carnival Association, Andrea Capannelli – an organization which, thanks to the collaboration with the municipal administration, also attracts of importance”. Today is the second day of celebration, this time in the streets and squares of the historic village.
Starting in the afternoon, Foiano will come alive with games, music, street food and shows for adults and children, which will keep the public company until the concert with the Metempsicosi DJs in Piazza Matteotti. The event will start from 5.30pm to 8pm in Piazza Cavour, with the volleyball and minivolley tournament, in collaboration with Pallavolo Foiano. Also from 5.30pm, in Piazza Mazzini, the opening of the children’s area with inflatables and other games, while at 6.45pm, in Piazza Matteotti the Schiuma Party arrives and from 7pm, in Piazza Fra Benedetto, the music starts from I live with Beg4Lust, Joe Kondos and Mobilia. In Corso Vittorio Emanuele the street food stalls will open from 7pm and in the loggia of Piazza Matteotti the giant screen will be open for the Italy – Albania match. Then in Piazza Matteotti, in the Central Stage, various DJs will take turns, first Paolo Fei, then the flash mob of the Carnival masquerades by Dam Danza which will end with a special choreography with dance and fire. Finally, the Metempsicosi team with DJs Ricky Le Roy, Joy Kitikonti, 00 Zicky led by the voice of Luca Beijing and the performer Principe Maurice. All with free entry.
