Avezzano, economist Piero Cipollone receives the Golden Lions award

The economist Piero Cipollone, current member of the Executive Committee of the European Central Bank, will be in Avezzano (L’Aquila) on Saturday 14 June for the presentation ceremony of the Golden Lions Award. Appointment at 5pm in the council room of the Municipal Palace (Piazza della Repubblica, 8).

The award is assigned every year by the Lions Club of Avezzano to illustrious personalities from Avezzano and Marsican who have distinguished themselves nationally and internationally in the sectors of economy, culture, journalism, art, music, entrepreneurship, justice and the scientific world. Past winners also include Gianni Letta, Mario Pescante, Michele Prestipino, Attilio Befera and Natalino Irti. Also present at the ceremony will be the president of the Control Commission on the activity of the managing bodies of compulsory forms of social security and assistance, the economist Alberto Bagnai, the mayor of Avezzano, Giovanni Di Pangrazio and the president of the council Fabrizio Ridolfi.
