The Gold Medals neighborhood committee meets the administration

A meeting took place yesterday between the representatives of the Medaglie d’Oro District Committee and the municipal administration, in the presence of the mayor Mino Cannito.

«The meeting, which saw the participation of aldermen, councilors and the municipal agronomist, was characterized by a warm, hospitable and synergistic welcome. The mayor reassured those present about the immediate resolution of some critical issues in the neighborhood, in particular regarding the trees in via R. Vitrani.

During the meeting, Cannito assured that the trees will soon be made safe, thus allowing public lighting to function properly and guaranteeing the safety of the branches.

While shortly, during the vegetation period, the missing trees in the empty basins will be restored, with particular attention to the basin near the intersection between via Libertà and via Vitrani. This intervention will improve the aesthetics and environmental health of the neighborhood.

The mayor also confirmed that the company responsible for the road works has been asked to resurface the roads. An agreement with the AQP provides for the replacement of damaged manhole covers, solving a problem that has plagued residents for some time.

The mayor announced an imminent inspection for the opening of the Lello Simeone sports field, an essential facility for the young people of the neighborhood.

Furthermore, projects have been presented for new rest areas in the Medaglie d’Oro district, which will offer new leisure and socialization spaces for residents.

A particularly welcome surprise was the presentation of the project for the opening of the manhole that connects Via del Milite Ignoto to Via Vittorio Veneto, improving the traffic and pedestrian safety of the neighborhood.”

The mayor highlighted that these projects do not only concern the Medaglie d’Oro district, but are part of a broader development plan that will affect the entire city. This integrated approach aims to improve the quality of life for all citizens, creating a safer, more welcoming and functional urban environment.

Residents’ expectations are high and the administration is determined to respond with concrete and timely interventions. The Medaglie d’Oro Neighborhood Committee will continue to monitor the situation and work with the authorities to ensure that promises are kept. “We will carefully monitor the progress of the works and inform residents about developments through the press and the specially established WhatsApp group”.

This meeting represents a decisive moment for the future of the Medaglie d’Oro district. Collaboration between citizens and administration is essential to implement these projects and improve the quality of life for all residents. We invite all residents to actively participate in the Neighborhood Committee’s upcoming initiatives and to stay informed about future developments. Together, we can make a difference and contribute to the progress of our neighborhood and the entire city.

This meeting marks the beginning of a new phase of development and improvement for our neighborhood and for the entire city. The determination of the administration and the commitment of the Gold Medals Neighborhood Committee offer concrete hope for a better future. Let’s participate and support these initiatives together to make a difference.”
