Confcommercio: De Poli, support economy in the territories, urgent reform of access to credit

“From a reform for access to credit that takes specific account of small and medium enterprises, to the issue of the lack of qualified personnel and the social role of historic shops in cities and small towns: there are various points on which today the president of Confcommercio Carlo Sangalli places the emphasis. These are all issues that are close to the heart of this centre-right majority in Parliament. We must continue to work in the direction of supporting our businesses which, let us remember, are the engine of the economy that generates work and well-being”. This was stated by Senator Quaestor Antonio De Poli (UDC). “After the very difficult Covid season, in which trade suffered more than other sectors – explains De Poli –, the tertiary sector is growing in Italy: the recovery of this important sector cannot fail to go hand in hand with incisive and effective policies capable of revitalizing the socioeconomic fabric of our communities, combating commercial desertification. We need a strategic plan to support neighborhood trade: let’s defend the historic shops and the virtuous circuit of short supply chains and small artisans. Our priority, even more so at a time when tourism is growing, must be to stimulate the economy in the territories”, concludes De Poli.
