Yesterday, in the meeting room of the Benevento Police Headquarters, a significant training meeting took place with the students of the “La Tecnica” School, thanks to the availability of the Police Commissioner Dr. Giovanni Nunzio Trabunella.
The event saw the participation of students from the first class of the IeFP mechanical operator course and the second class of the IeFP graphic operator course.
Superintendent Dr. Giovanni Corda led the meeting, dealing with crucial issues such as combating the use and dealing of narcotic substances, raising awareness of responsible driving and education in healthy affectivity to combat gender violence. Topics were addressed with passion, competence and ability to use language within the students’ reach.
The dialogue highlighted the importance of recognizing one’s limitations, developing a sense of responsibility and knowing how to ask for help when necessary. The students were invited to reflect constructively on their behaviors, approaching the institutions and understanding the value of legality and prevention.
Superintendent Corda’s direct testimony made tangible the devastating effects of addictions, not only on people’s health but also on their social and professional relationships. Particular attention was paid to the dangers of new drugs, such as fentanyl, the terrible “zombie drug”, and the consequences of impaired driving.
It was particularly effective for all the participants to be able to experience first-hand, through the many concrete cases addressed, the dramatic stories of very young people, or not so young people, who destroy their lives and that of the people who love them due to drugs.
The “La Tecnica” School expresses its heartfelt thanks to the Police Commissioner Dr. Giovanni Nunzio Trabunella, to the Deputy Police Commissioner of the State Police, Dr. Flavio Tranquillo, and to the Superintendent Giovanni Corda, for the commitment and dedication with which they promote the education on legality and respect for the rules, contributing to the growth of the community. Special thanks also go to the passionate teacher, Lawyer Giovanna Megna, who promoted and wanted this meeting.
