When Cristina Frazzica was overwhelmed while she was on a kayak trip in the waters of Posillipo, on board the yacht suspected of having hit the girl and her friend, no one would have noticed anything. This was told to Ansa by the lawyer Guido Furgiuele, the Neapolitan criminal lawyer investigated by the Naples prosecutor’s office for manslaughter and failure to provide aid in the investigation into the death of the 31-year-old after last Sunday’s accident. Furgiuele was on board the 18-metre family yacht, seized together with two other boats. The criminal lawyer explained that both he and “my six guests did not feel any impact”.
Because he came back after the accident
The lawyer explains why he then turned back: «One of my guests saw a boy waving his arms in the stern and we went back to help him. He said that the girl had been hit by a very fast boat and we were convinced that she wasn’t mine. We couldn’t do more than help him and raise the alarm.” Vincenzo Leone, the victim’s friend who survived the accident after being rescued by Furgiuele, also spoke about the accident: “he didn’t see us, he was going fast.”
The colored stripe on the kayak
Technical investigations on the boat are now awaited, which will have to clarify whether it was Furgiuele’s boat that hit the kayak with Frazzica and his friend on board. As Repubblica reports, the analysis on the kayak, which was found still intact but with a clear mark after the impact, would already provide more information. It is a colored stripe, which according to investigators would match the blue color of the keel of the motorboat.
