So the children of Silvio Berlusconi they remember him on the anniversary of his death, accompanying the message with a photo of him smiling and in profile. The founder of Forza Italia passed away on June 12, 2023 at 86 years old in hospital San Raffaele of Milan, due to a form of leukemia from which he had been suffering for some time. The family, together with the widow Marta Fascina and to the men of his closest circle – Fedele Confalonieri, Adriano Galliani, Gianni Letta – he remembered him in the morning with a mass in the chapel of the historic residence of Arcore, while in the evening on the Mediaset channels it will be broadcast on unified networks (Canale 5, Italia 1, Rete 4 and TgCom24) the documentary “Dear President, one year later” signed by the journalist Toni Capuozzo. Last night a preview was screened in Cologno Monzese in an evening event with all the Biscione employees: “I feel that he is here with us”, said his son Piersilvio. Bruno Vespa also equipped a special Door to door in the late evening, while RaiNews24 broadcast the special “Filo direct – Remembering Silvio” broadcast from 10am with studio guests and connections.

The entire centre-right is paying homage to the memory of the deceased leader, starting with the prime minister Giorgia Meloni: “On the first anniversary of the death of Silvio Berlusconi, I would like to remember a man who left an indelible mark in Italian political history,” she writes on Twitter, posting a photo of herself together with the man from Arcore. “We miss you. Hello, President”, is the message from his successor at the helm of the party, the deputy prime minister Antonio Tajani. “A year ago a brilliant entrepreneur left us, a revolutionary innovator in multiple fields, a statesman capable of defining an era, in love with Italy and freedom”, the Northern League leader posted Matteo Salvini. The third child Barbara, in an interview with Tg1chooses instead to attack by riding an old mantra: “He was the most political leader persecuted in the world with more than four thousand hearings and eighty-six trials. A persistence of a part of the politicized judiciary which lasted almost thirty years and which seriously compromised its health. I hope that it will be approved in Parliament soon justice reform“.
