We will focus on the safety, economic, social, cultural and employment growth of our community, with particular priority on safeguarding the great historical and environmental heritage.” As Massimo Maddalenavisibly moved, after a decade spent on the opposition benches, comments on the clear success at the polls against the outgoing party’s list Lucio Ferella.
«We are extremely happy with the result – explains the new mayor -, it was a victory for the entire list. Our fellow citizens have rewarded our enthusiasm, fueled by the desire to get involved to help improve the liveability of Baselice. Our message was clear from the start: create a climate of peace and serenity, without rancor or hatred. Maybe this message has stirred the trust that the electorate wanted to show us.”
It was an election campaign with no holds barred, characterized by the management analysis of the Municipality. «I warmly thank those who supported our team – continues Maddalena -, a group full of spirit and who, like me, wanted to make time available to dedicate to the growth of our country. The victory of a group of young people from Basel, all convinced and motivated to embark on a new adventure. Even if it won’t be a walk in the park.”
Maddalena, meanwhile, gained 69.09% (1,015 votes) of the preferences, against 30.91% of «Baselice Futura» (454 votes). An overwhelming success, in light of the 561 vote gap between the teams. The most voted on the new mayor’s list was Nicola Colucci (212 votes), who in all likelihood will be the new vice mayor, followed by Luigi Bianco (127). Ex aequo, however, between Emanuele del Grosso and Lucio Pietrantuono (119), with Rocco Paolozza at 89, Nardina Anzuino at 62 and Daniela Maddalena at 60, who should therefore define the majority. In the minority, however, the former mayor Ferella with Maria Fusco (60) and Michele Del Vecchio (53).
