Pavia 2024 elections, turnout at 57.79 percent at 11pm on Sunday 9 June

Until 11pm yesterday, Sunday 9 June, it was possible to vote for the municipal elections in Pavia and for the European elections. He went to the polls 57.79 percent of those entitled. The turnout figure, with polling stations now closed, is decreasing compared to the previous electoral round, in 2019, when 63.87 percent of voters had voted.

This year, however, the challenge to compete for the municipality is the 42-year-old Michele Lissia, supported by the centre-left: in detail, by Alleanza Verdi Sinistra, Italia Viva, Cittadini per Pavia, Pavia a colori, Azione, Let’s centre, Movimento 5 stelle and Democratic Party. The 58-year-old is challenging him Alessandro Cantonias well as the centre-right candidate supported by Pavia Prima, Pavia Ideale, Fratelli d’Italia, Forza Italia and Lega.

Finally there is the 72 year old Francesco Grisoliacandidate with the Communist Workers Party, the 60 year old Paolo Walter Cattaneo of Communist Refoundation and the 55-year-old Francesco Signorelli with Power to the People-Popular Union. The person who exceeds the majority will be elected mayor, otherwise the two with the most votes will go to a run-off.
