Massa Martana (PG) – The Italian Open Green Cup 2024 closes with the Skeet competitions, an international event that brought the best specialists of the Olympic specialties to Italy.

After the Trap competitions, which concluded last May 26th, this week the platforms of the Tav Umbiraverde-Todi in Massa Martana (PG) hosted the Skeet ones who competed today for the medals up for grabs.

Among the shooters with international experience gathered in the ID Number ranking, the American Benjamin Joseph Keller prevailed. Perfect in qualifying with 125/125 +6, Keller prevailed in the final, winning with an excellent 58/60 over the Italian Cristian Ciccotti (Carabinieri), silver medalist with 124/125 in qualifying and 55/60 in the final. Third on the podium was the Italian Marco Sablone (Fiamme Oro) with an impressive 123/125 +31 in qualification and 46/50 in the final. In the men’s team classification, the gold went to Valerio Palmucci, Emanuele Fuso and Alessio Bagnato with 369/375, the silver to Domenico Simeone, Marco Sablone and Giancarlo Tazza with 368/375, and the bronze to Cristian Ciccotti, Andrea Galardini and Francesco Bernardini with 366/375.

Green Cup – ID Skeet Podium

Moving on to the women’s ranking, among the Lady the strongest on the platform was Giada Longhi (Fiamme Oro) who first dominated the qualifications with 116/125 and then the final with 52/60. Behind her, the place of honor was occupied by the New Zealander Chloe Tipple, silver medal with 112/125 +2 and 51/60, and third place went to the British Jessica Burgess with 114/125 +3 and 42 /50. Among the teams, the international team composed of Isis Niels, Jessica Burgess and Claudia Fortunati prevailed with 337/375.

The Junior podium was all Italian thanks to Antonio Bellu (Fiamme Oro), gold with 121/125 +3 and 54/60, Cristian Giudici (Carabinieri), silver with 123/125 and 52/60, and Marco Coco (Fiamme Oro ), bronze with 121/125 +11 and 40/50. Among the teams, the gold went to the trio formed by Cristian Giudici, Marco Coco and Riccardo Mignozzetti with 362/375, the silver to the one composed of Paolo Micheli, Antonio Bellu and Antonio La Volpe with 360/375, while the bronze went to the one composed of Gioele Carletti, Gabriele Maulicino and Francesco Fortunati with 349/375.

The Junior Lady podium was also entirely Italian with the gold of Eleonora Ruta (Fiamme Oro) with 120/125 and 49/60, the silver of Arianna Nember (Marina Militare) with 110/125 and 48/60, and the bronze by Viola Picciolli (Carabinieri) with 109/125 and 37/50. The three shooters also achieved Team gold with 339/375 ahead of the Kazakhstan team, silver with 319, and a team made up of several international shooters, third with 299.

Furthermore, shooters without international experience in the last five years also competed in the competition, gathered in the No ID ranking. Among them, Edoardo Aloi won, gold with 118/125 and 53/60 +2. Behind him came Eros Marcellini, second with 121/125 and 53/60 +1, and the Canadian Alexander Wong, third with 119/125 +5 and 44/50.

Finally, both golds up for grabs in the Mixed Team go to Italy. Among the seniors, the highest honors were deserved by Alessio Bagnato and Giada Longhi with 146/150 in qualification and 41/48 in the final. On the podium for silver the mixed team with the Peruvian Daniella Borda and the Canadian Alexander Wong with 144/150 and 39/48, and that of Kazakhstan with Diana Sabekova and Eduarda Yechshenko, bronze medal with 141/150 and 39/48 +8.

Among the Juniors, the gold went to Eleonora Ruta and Marco Coco with 1428150 and 43/48, the silver to Viola Picciolli and Riccardo Mignozzetti with 140/150 and 38/48, and the bronze to Arianna Nember and Cristian Giudici with 135 /150 and 37/48.
