The Tournament which began with the preliminary phases on April 13th reached its epilogue yesterday, June 8th, with the finals at the Rieti Padel Club field. The Gold finals started at 6pm with the finalists: Andrea and Marco Marinetti, against Alessio Bandiera and Mike Palenga. The final victory of the championship went to the Marinetti brothers by scoring a clear score: 7-5/6-1, taking home the coveted Tournament against a pair formed by: Bandiera/Palenga, very difficult and much feared on the eve.
The Marinetti brothers didn’t miss a beat, putting on a show with some high-class volleys, perfectly calibrated smashes, synchronized backhands that were always on point and after an hour and twenty minutes Bandiera and Palenga had to surrender to the excessive power of the Marinetti brothers.
Then it was the turn of the final of the “Silver” Tournament between couples: Simone Angelucci-Alessandro Coletti, against Ugo Caluisi-Matteo Pacilli.
The couple: Angelucci-Colarieti prevailed, winning the “Silver” Tournament with a score of: 6-0/2-6/6-1, giving life to beautiful plays with the prospect of continuous technical growth.
At the end of the event which lasted about two months, the two organizers Matteo Petroni of Infinity Padel and Emiliano Marinetti of the Padel Club Rieti considered themselves «very satisfied with this first really interesting Championship from a technical and organizational point of view», thinking about the next edition to improve it and perfect it, giving visibility to all continuously growing Padel players.
