Milan, 8 June 2024 – If yesterday was the day of shock, today is that of pain and memory for theupon the death of Armando Mainardi, 47 years old, PE teacher to schools medium Giambattista Vico. The professor had the fatal illnesson the last day of school, while in the school bathroom and the emergency services were of no avail.
Armando Mainardi, originally from Salerno, and for a year had been teaching at the middle school in via Val Lagarina, with a annual substitution. Armando, “Armandino” for everyone, he is the son of Antonio Mainardi, a merchant who for 50 years was the owner of a furniture shop known throughout Southern Italy with the biggest Italian and international brands. At home in Campania he had left all his loved ones. A distance that weighed heavily on the professor, for those who knew him well. He missed his family a lot.
Despite the nostalgia, however, he was “always with a smilealways positive, always ready to help,” we read in one of the comments published on Facebook.
And his Salerno is also in shock, as he explains the mayor Vincenzo Napoli: “I am saddened by the death of Armando Mainardi, tragically taken from life due to an illness at just 47 years old. He was loved by everyone. We are all shocked, friends and those who knew and loved him. I embrace his parents Tonino and Pina and his brother Mattia, who bind me and my family with deep affection. Their friendship has illuminated beautiful days of my life, full of hope for the future and memorable cultural activities in the field of design and architecture You will be there forever.”
Mainardi was also a big fan of his Salernitana team: he managed a well-known Facebook page, “La zolla di Bolic” and was part of the “Razza Irno” group
