An evening to remember the figure of the historian of religions and classical philologist Walter Burkert, professor at the University of Zurich from 1969 to 1996 and 1990 Balzan Prize winner. Monday 10 June, at the Swiss Society, in the Meili Room, Burkert’s student, the Greek scholar Christoph Riedweg, member of the General Balzan Prizes Committee, talks about it in the meeting “New light on the historian of religions and classical philologist Walter Burkert”, organized by the International Balzan Foundation and by the Swiss Society of Milan; Markus Wiget and the President of the General Balzan Prizes Committee, Marta Cartabia, intervene.
