A special day for the Carabinieri which celebrated 210 years since its foundation on 5 June. A day in which the celebrations characterized all the Italian provinces including BAT. And it was the scenery of Piazza Duomo in Trani that further embellished such a solemn moment but equally close to the community.
During the afternoon opened by the banners of the fighting associations and the Banners of the Province and Municipalities, there was a review of the departments by the Provincial Commander Colonel Galasso up to the reading of the message from the President of the Republic and the presentation of the awards for the carabinieri who distinguished themselves in their service. True gestures of heroism as well as investigations and field activities against crime. Starting from Brigadier Antonio Cici of the Bisceglie Tenenza who saved an elderly man and a woman from inside a building where a fire had broken out, but also the work of Captain Apollo, commander of the Andria company in the context of an important investigation that broke up two criminal groups. The commander and several section employees of the investigative unit of the provincial command also for an operation which led to the arrest of 9 people, several soldiers from the Barletta lieutenancy for an investigation into a syndicate dedicated to drug dealing. Awards that embellished a solemn moment concluded by the blessing of the “Virgo Fidelis” painting donated by Prof. Antonella Palmitessa to the BAT provincial carabinieri command. An event entirely broadcast live and produced by Telesveva and which allowed us to celebrate the anniversary of one of the most loved and deeply rooted bodies in the territories throughout Italy.
