Twenty-seven million euros. This is the amount of funding allocated to the Municipality of Ravanusa which will be used for the reconstruction of the places devastated by the explosion in December 2021. Sums that come from the agreement for development and cohesion. The urban regeneration project of the area devastated by the explosion and the construction of new homes for displaced families now becomes a reality.

Meanwhile, together with the “Lions Club Ravanusa Campobello”, the inauguration of the “Inclusive Playground” dedicated to “Samuele” the child never born due to the unspeakable disaster that occurred in Ravanusa on 11 December 2021. The games that were placed in the Villa Comunale were in fact donated by the “Lions Club Ravanusa Campobello” thanks to a fundraiser in which the Lions participated of the 108Yb Sicily District, the Multi District Italy and private citizens. “Thanks to their sensitivity and the work that the Municipality of Ravanusa is continuing to carry out with the imminent implementation of games, video surveillance and lighting of the entire house, together we will be able to give back to our community an important aggregation center” , declares the mayor Pitrola. In addition to the civil, military, religious and lion authorities, local associations will also be present at the inauguration, children who will thus have the opportunity to play in an inclusive park where the play areas are built for children of all abilities.
“Thanks therefore to the Lions who, even in the field of inclusiveness, continue to work so that the citizens of their communities have access to programs and resources aimed at improving their health and psychophysical well-being”, concluded the mayor.
