She experienced a start to the season with ups and downs and well below the expectations she had created, in light of a 2023 to be framed. But just in recent days a possible reversal of trend has arrived for her: Lucrezia Stefanini has in fact won her first international trophy, as regards 2024. The tennis player from Carmignano participated in the “XXI Montemor Ladies Open” in Montemor Novo, a competition staged in Portugal. And she won the final victory by winning all five matches: she started from the first round by beating the local athlete Matilde Jorge (6-3, 6-0) and then sequentially overcoming the Australian Elena Micic (3-6 , 6-3, 6-3) the Finnish Anatasia Kulikova (6-1, 6-3) and the Indian Ankita Raina (6-1, 6-2). A clear path that allowed her to qualify for the final, where she got rid of the Australian Talia Gibson with a clear 6-4 6-0. And she thus won her tenth international ITF trophy. After reaching ninety-ninth position and thus entering the ranking of the one hundred best tennis players in the world, Lucrezia is now one hundred and sixty-ninth in the world ranking. But there are all the conditions for her to get back on top, at just 26 years old. And who knows whether the Portuguese triumph may represent the definitive springboard for (re)launching.
