Post-flood compensation on movable property, will be the central theme of the scheduled meeting Thursday 6 June, from 9pm in the Pavaglione square Lugowith Michele de Pascale, mayor of Ravenna and president of the Province, Davide Ranalli, Mayor of Lugo, and Elena Zannoni, candidate for the centre-left at the next local elections on 8 and 9 June.
“It is necessary – underlines Gianmarco Rossato, secretary of the PD of Lugo – continue to pay attention to the need for compensation for flood victims, and in particular those goods such as kitchens, furniture and household appliances that the water of last May damaged irremediably. It was a precise commitment that we ask to be maintained, it is a commitment that serves all citizens and for which the silence of the candidates and local officials of the center-right is absurd, if they care about this territory they should answer to their citizens and not to the obligations of silence imposed by Rome. We ask for respect from citizens and businesses in the area, without theatrics peppered with denials, continuous postponements, and vague information as we have seen in recent days.”
“In an entire year it has not been possible to obtain answers to our request relating to movable assets for which the question arises spontaneously: this continuing waste of time does not actually hide a clear desire to do not proceed with the refreshments 100%, but only partially?” This is the question asked by the Joint Flood and Landslide Committees of Emilia-Romagna in recent days through a joint document.

In the face of all this, we only record silence on the part of the Government and ask again for respect for the families affected by the flood, as well as for the institutions that the centre-right representatives represent today”.
“As already reiterated in the last few hours, the words of the exponents of Fratelli d’Italia are unacceptable, especially since the deputy minister Bignami himself released advances on the lump sum amount of reimbursements for movable property. Taking into account the fact that it was the Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni who promised 100% compensation for all damages, including movable property, during the most difficult days of the flood.
