Sold out at PalaTrieste: three thousand race tickets sold in one day3

TRIESTE PalaTrieste already sold out for match 3. Four thousand tickets burned on the first day of free sale. On Monday morning the internal ticket office of the PalaTrieste was already crowded before it even opened, with around fifty people queuing. Same scene in the afternoon, with opening scheduled for 4pm and fans already patiently waiting an hour before.

In Trieste this is the passion for basketball. It means going to fill a sports hall – apart from the seats reserved for guests and university students, but those will also be occupied – a week before the match takes place. An act of love and trust given that no one evidently wanted to wait for the outcome of the first two matches in Desio to decide how to proceed. In short, the important thing is to be there. The signs had already arrived in game 3 of the semi-final against Unieuro Forlì, with the hunt for the ticket and a great desire for Red Wall. A fact that is certainly more concretely convincing than any consideration of capacity indices in other places.

In the first phase of the presale, reserved for season ticket holders, practically all the season ticket holders for the regular season had also confirmed their place for race 3. Yesterday, on the first day of free sales, over three thousand tickets were sold. Today and in the next few days, the PalaTrieste ticket office will therefore remain closed to the public and it will not be possible to physically purchase tickets even at the Bcc branch in via Roma.

Seats remain available for the university sector, around 200, only because tickets will be on sale for students in the temporary ticketing at the University, in the atrium of Piazzale Europa, tomorrow and Thursday from 11am to 3pm. Another quota that has yet to be sold is the one reserved for visiting fans, between 200 and 300 tickets. Unsold or unconfirmed tickets may be put back on sale online at the weekend. At the moment, however, the tickets available for free sale have been “burned”.

Speaking of Red Wall and the desire to relive certain emotions, on the occasion of the play-off finals Pallacanestro Trieste launched the official Finals t-shirt. The red t-shirt, as the club explains in a note, “is designed to unite the fans and transform PalaTrieste into a red tide of support for the team”. The t-shirt can be pre-ordered or purchased directly at PalaTrieste on the day of match 3 against Cantù.
