A little girl alone 2 years she died after being hit while leaving the nursery. While she was walking hand in hand with her grandmother who had come to pick her up, the two were allegedly knocked over by another grandmother who was moving over her a Mercedes SUV in reverse in the parking lot of the same institute. The woman driving had gone to pick up her nephew who attends first grade.
According to initial reports, the woman did not notice the two people on foot and ended up running over them. A team of people intervened in the car park where the tragedy occurred local police for the ritual investigations and the acquisition of video surveillance footage: we are trying to fully understand the dynamics of the accident to identify responsibilities. The grandmother driving risks an investigation for road homicide and injuries.
The incident happened this afternoon, just before 4pm, in Brescia Little England school in viale Caduti del Lavoro. It is a comprehensive institution that hosts nursery, primary and middle school classes.
The 118 emergency services, which arrived on site with an ambulance and a medical vehicle, were timely, however there was nothing that could be done for the little girl: when the doctors examined her in the ambulance – which left with sirens blaring and code red – was already in cardiovascular arrestthen the little girl was given a cardiac massage and her heartbeat returned, albeit weak.
Despite the hopes, the little girl died due to serious injuries reported, although the healthcare staff did their best, immediately after admission to the civil hospital of Brescia, in the Pediatrics department. There was therefore nothing that could be done and now the city is mourning a little girl who had just entered her life.
Apprehension for the girl’s grandmother who, as mentioned, was overwhelmed
in turn: the 80-year-old woman was transported to the Sant’Anna hospital under yellow code: it seems she reported trauma to the legs and arms and is in shock for what happened.
