Brad Pitt wins a new legal battle against Angelina Jolie

Brad Pitt has won another battle against Angelina Jolie in the legal war over the sale of the Chateau Miraval wine estate

Brad Pitt scores another win against Angelina Jollie. Although the couple formalized their divorce in 2019, there seems to be no end to the legal disputes between the two.
The last branch on which Brangelina continue to battle is that linked to Chateau Miravalthe wine estate in France where they were married.

A Los Angeles Superior Court judge ruled that Jolie must produce any non-disclosure agreements agreed with third parties for an eight-year period from 2014 to 2022.

But what do NDAs have to do with the sale of the actress’ share of the estate? Let’s clarify.

Brad Pitt asked the court to cancel the deed with which Angelina Jolie sold her share to Russian tycoon Yuri Shefler in October 2021. His thesis is that he and his ex-wife had a prior agreement according to which neither of them would sell to third parties without the consent of the other.

For Angelina Jolie, however, the pact would have failed because Brad Pitt would have asked her to sign a privacy agreement deemed “inconceivable”.

This is where NDAs come into play: Pitt’s legal team debunked the actress’s version by claiming (and proving) that it was she who abuse non-disclosure agreementsproducing several testimonies.

Jolie allegedly “weaponized” NDAs and even asked Pitt to sign one as part of divorce negotiations, just six months after the disputed sale.

Judge Martin today sided with Brad Pitt and ordered the actress to Maleficent to produce all NDAs proposed by you or that have been proposed to you by others, regardless of whether they have been finalized or agreed upon.

The ruling also ordered Angelina to produce NDAs entered into by companies she controls and documents showing the reasons why she or her companies requested such NDAs.

“Angelina chose to make NDAs a battleground in this case, and now her strategy appears to have backfired spectacularly. Her defense has turned out to be a house of cards and she will now have to provide details of all the NDAs she has requested from third parties,” a source close to Pitt told the The US Sun.

“There is no doubt that this is a huge obstacle for her. There is a long way to go, but in the context of the case so far, this is an extremely important and far-reaching ruling that will be problematic for her defense,” the insider concludes.
