THE GREEN LANTERN – EVERYONE WON, MAX WON BROADLY

Everyone won, Max won by a landslide

Now there are 15… A good number. On the eve of the match, there was little optimism among the Juventus fans. This Atalanta is too good to hope to beat them. Indeed, there were those who, negative by nature, were waiting for a Nerazzurri goal. Instead, it was the Old Lady who rejoiced, at the end of a grumpy and complicated match (also due to some not exactly understandable refereeing decisions). The winning goal was scored by Vlahovic, with the heaviest goal of his still young career: “I’m already thinking about how to win again”, his words after the match. What can I say, someone who is never satisfied and who seems to have understood what it means to be the striker of the most successful team in Italy. However, the real hero of this (unexpected) victory is Allegri. At the end of a very complicated three-year period, a trophy that weighs enormously has arrived. Criticized beyond all logic, pointed out as a “boiled and incompetent coach”, derided for his “short face” and often referred to as the dark evil of Juventus, Max managed to wrap up the beautiful Goddess and give the Juventus club a title after three years of abstinence. Seeing him, at the end of the match, sitting and watching the players and fans celebrate is a beautiful fresco for posterity. Everything will be said about these three years on Allegri’s Juventus bench but it cannot be said that he failed. He faced enormous obstacles (especially outside the boss), managed a less than stellar squad, accepted mediocre players but, above all, at the last useful opportunity, he won! And, for those who truly believe in Juventus, the only thing that matters is winning. Well, Allegri won… The rest is just talk. A curiosity: Allegri is now the record holder of the Italian Cup wins. In his personal bulletin board, there are now five, as many as Milan have won in their entire history.
What will happen now? Exactly what should happen… The Allegri cycle at Juventus now seems over and, honestly, that’s right. We need a new leader, a new project and, perhaps, new, better quality players. Whoever arrives after Allegri will have a great responsibility. He will have to make the team play well, he will have to help the young players grow further, he will have to exalt Vlahovic and, above all, he will have to win, like Allegri did…
Personally, I will never forget what Allegri did for Juventus. I didn’t have much fun watching his Juventus play but I think he was the right man at the right time. In these complicated years, we needed someone like him, capable of both smiling mockingly and throwing his jacket to highlight his anger. In these last three years, there has been no truer Juventus than Allegri. Whoever comes after him will have to demonstrate that they are equally black and white…
