Returning to work wasn’t easy for Jeremy Renner after the snow accident that almost cost him his life. In fact, he couldn’t stay awake on set.

The actor himself said it in an interview with the Los Angeles Times.

In 2023, the interpreter of The Hurt Locker, 53, was hit head-on by his own snow groomer in an attempt to save his nephew who was about to be involved. He returned to work about a year later and not without a long rehabilitation.

He explained that he couldn’t help but fall asleep while filming the third season of ‘Mayor of Kingstown’, the television series airing on Paramount+ and in which he plays the character of Mike McLusky.

“They said, ‘action!’ and I was completely out,” she pointed out. “It was too many hours of work, too many consecutive days, too hard for me,” she continues. Renner then had to change the way he was used to working and the production changed the schedule. For example, no constant trips to California for filming. His physique couldn’t handle the time zone.

“They had to treat me like a child actor – he said, the mayor of Kingstown is now like a 14 year old.” Jeremy also explained that he now has a photographic memory for remembering lines.
