The collection of used cooking oils in the Acea Ecopoints has begun

Starting from Monday 20th, the collection of used vegetable oils (cooking oils) began in the 47 Municipalities of the Acea Pinerolese Consortium at the road service Ecopoints. The service will be introduced progressively until it covers 164 stations across the territory. Acea reminds you that it will still be possible to deliver used vegetable oils to the 16 eco-islands present in the area (for times and locations go to https://ambiente.aceapinerolese.it/location-e-orari/).

The disposal methods are as follows: the used vegetable oil coming from the kitchens must be placed inside a plastic bottle and thrown, strictly closed, into the appropriate vegetable oil collection bins.

For further information on the placement of the new bins for the collection of vegetable oils, simply consult the appropriate map on the Junker App or through the Acea Pinerolese Environment Sector website by clicking on this link which will be promptly updated following the installation of the containers for the new service. Instructions are also present at the collection points.

Each family produces around 10 kg of used vegetable oil per year, thousands of tonnes in Italy. Vegetable oil after regeneration becomes a basis for producing lubricating oils, biodiesel and more.
