The Futsal Club Philadelphia wins the trophy Region Cup Serie D 5-a-side football, for the first time named in memory of the late Fernando Colicchiafirst an appreciated player and then an esteemed coach also for the Calabrian teams.
On the wheel of the Sports Hall of Casali del Mancothe Vibo team overcame Nuova Celico after the penalty kicks (the half of thirty minutes had ended goalless) and, subsequently, Virtus SBS 8-0 with goals from Bartucca, brace from Procopio, Dastoli, own goal by Claudio Timpano, double by Valia and final seal by Piro.
In the second raceHowever, Virtus SBS itself had beaten Nuova Celico 2-1 with goals from Vilone and Carvelli, while for the home team Pantusa had achieved a temporary equaliser. A beautiful afternoon of futsal concluded with the regional delegate for five-a-side football giving awards to the three teams for the victories in their respective provincial groups Giuseppe della Torre and the Delegate of Cosenza Antonio Massarini.
Finally, the delivery of the coveted Serie D C5 Region Cup to Futsal Club Philadelphia who closed the season with a second trophy after winning the championship with the consequent promotion to Serie C2, the latter like the other two participating teams.
