Ariccia (Rome), 16 May. (askanews) – The ecological transition in everyday life: this is the focus of the event organized in Ariccia by Daikin Applied Europe, entitled “The ecological transition in industry: the role of the air conditioning sector”. Three round tables focused on the themes of decarbonisation and the contribution to achieving objectives thanks to heat pumps; but also the commitment to a more sustainable economy. In this sense, the European and Italian industry in particular can play a leading role.”Daikin – explains Claudio Capozio CEO Daikin Applied Europe SpA – is a company that has accepted this challenge with enthusiasm because it is part of our work. We produce machines which produce cold, that is, they do positioning but also heating. These are machines that allow a process that generates CO2 to be obtained without the need for combustion, the same result that was achieved with traditional machines, therefore boilers”. “We are very active in this field – he adds – applying technology that offers the possibility of making machinery and therefore solutions that are not only more efficient but which go towards decarbonisation. It is a technology that we have been using for a long time but which we are still more strengthening in this period precisely in the wake of the need present at a national and international level”. To achieve the objectives of decarbonisation, political commitment is also necessary. Massimo Milani Environment, Territory and Public Works Commission of the Chamber of Deputies: ” The evidence is the important work done on the Pniec; we will see its definitive approval at the European level in the coming months. It is the result – he underlines – of a very important concertation work done by the Ministry of the Environment; the so-called Energy decree which we definitively approved and converted into law in February this year. There is particular attention also dictated by the desire to ensure energy self-produced in Italy and at low cost – certainly driven by the pandemic crisis which made us understand how much we depended on external sources – and also partly because we know that investing in renewables means investing on the future of our Planet”.
