Produced from raw milk by the Agriexport company of Chilivani. the day will see Adriano Cossu present, Italian Champion 2019 and president of the Sassarese Association of artistic cuisine who will present carved Sardinian pecorino in Sassari and will engage in a carving show which consists of carving the shape of Sardinian and Roman pecorino live. the event is organized by the olive agri-food district “Olivarios”.
Organized by the “Olivarios” Olive Quality Agri-Food District in collaboration with the Agri Export dairy of Chilivani and with the presence of the pecorino cheese carving champion Andrea Cossu from Sassari, 2019 Italian champion and bronze medalist at the last 2024 Stuttgart Olympics for the competitions of artistic cuisine, the “DEGUSTA SASSARI” event will take place on Saturday 18 May from 10am to 7pm in the splendid setting surrounded by olive trees, flowers and plants, which consists of a tasting and pairing of the Pecorino DOP cheese produced with raw milk and extra virgin olive oil. The unique event of its kind is part of the activities of the Sardinian Olive Oil District to enhance the best qualities of Sardinian olive production, which in this last year has seen it winning in all national and international olive oil competitions. Entrance and tasting are entirely free.
