Potenza, the Local Police enters the schools! Here is the project that involved 600 students

May 16, 2024

The local police of Potenza entered the schools of the capital to carry out the ‘Together in legality’ project with the children, financed with the funds provided by law no. 234 of 2021, and that it involved around six hundred primary and secondary school students, divided into 35 classes of the ‘Milani’ and ‘Busciolano’ comprehensive schools, and of the ‘Galileo Galilei’ scientific high school.

Explain the Commander of Local police Maria Santoro:

“The lessons held by local police operators addressed and explored the basic rules of the Highway Code and the main rules of conduct.

Agents and officers of the municipal body, also making use of new teaching tools, such as for example interactive multimedia whiteboards, have provided precise indications on the basic rules of the Code, highlighting the effects that the abuse of alcohol and the use of narcotic substances determine in people and in those who drive a vehicle.

The younger students concluded the cycle of traffic education lessons with guided tours carried out in the local Police Headquarters.

In our offices the children were able to closely observe the work we do every day to serve citizens.

It was a wonderful intergenerational meeting and a moment of growth for everyone in the culture of legality.”
