Once upon a time, they were used to operate the cabins and telephone a distant loved one. Even today it is possible to see, in some cities, what remains of it. Nowadays, however, the payphones have been replaced by modern cell phones and it is even rare to find working ones. However, some telephone tokens are still in circulation: they have been kept as a souvenir or simply left carelessly to gather dust. Yet, it is possible to resell them and, under certain circumstances, even get rich doing so. In fact, there are tokens that have acquired a very high value over time. Let’s find out what they are.

As long as they are in excellent condition, which is not easy, it is possible to resell 2 telephone tokens for their weight in gold. Which ones are they? The first is certainly Telve from 1932, which has a value of around 350 euros.

It seems incredible, but the token we will write about can even be resold for 1,300 euros. The important thing, as we have already mentioned, is that it is in truly excellent conservation conditions. Otherwise, its value could suffer significantly.
The token in question is Timo from 1928, which is perhaps the rarest token of all. This is why, over time, it has taken on such a high value and is highly sought after by collectors.
