UDINE – Friuli Venezia Giulia is currently affected by a wave of bad weather that brought heavy rain and thunderstorms, triggered by an Atlantic depression that is channeling humid air over the region. This situation has resulted in a net worsening weather conditions, with consequent inconvenience in the area. Let’s see what the 12 noon bulletin of the Fvg Civil Protection reports.
Current weather conditions
The convergence between the north-east winds and the Sirocco caused showers and thunderstorms which moved towards the north-east during the night. From approximately 9:00, a shift of the storm towards the north was observed, intensified by the strengthening of the Scirocco. The rains, initially moderate on the coast, resulted abundant and intense in the eastern belt and in the western area of Friuli.
Forecast for the next few hours
Precipitation will tend to ease in the next few hours, but a new intensification is expected starting from the afternoon. From late afternoon until after midnight, locally strong showers and thunderstorms are expected, with the passage of a front that will bring new rain. After midnight, weather conditions are expected to gradually improve.

The Ca Selva reservoir has levels just above the alert threshold, but with a tendency to decrease.

FVG-A area: Barcis (74.2 mm in 12 hours), Val Sughet (72.2 mm in 12 hours).
FVG-B area: Malga Chiampiuz (60.8 mm in 12 hours), Livinal Lunc (58.8 mm in 12 hours).
FVG-C area: Gorgo (89 mm in 12 hours), Palazzolo dello Stella (46.8 mm in 12 hours).
FVG-D area: San Pelagio (15.6 mm in 12 hours), Sgonico-Zgonik (12.2 mm in 12 hours).
Active volunteering
They were mobilized 14 volunteers with 5 vehicles to manage problems arising from the weather event and for monitoring the territory.
