UDINE – Friuli Venezia Giulia is currently affected by a wave of bad weather that brought heavy rain and thunderstorms, triggered by an Atlantic depression that is channeling humid air over the region. Current weather conditions

The convergence between the north-east winds and the Sirocco caused showers and thunderstorms which moved towards the north-east during the night. From approximately 9:00, a shift of the storm towards the north was observed, intensified by the strengthening of the Scirocco. The rains, initially moderate on the coast, resulted abundant and intense in the eastern belt and in the western area of ​​Friuli.

Forecast for the next few hours

Precipitation will tend to ease in the next few hours, but a new intensification is expected starting from the afternoon. From late afternoon until after midnight, locally strong showers and thunderstorms are expected, with the passage of a front that will bring new rain. After midnight, weather conditions are expected to gradually improve.
