in compliance with a regional provision, to avoid fire dangers, the extraordinary commissioner of the Municipality of Campobello di Licata, Teresa Burgio, has issued the fire prevention ordinance in the municipal territory for the 2024 summer season, until October 31st. It is forbidden, near the woods and in the bushy lands within the municipal territory: to light fires, set off mines, use flame or electric devices to cut metals, use incinerator stoves which produce sparks in woods and bushy lands, smoke or carry out any operation that could create immediate fire danger in the woods and in areas affected by the presence of bushes, dry grass, scrub, stubble, brushwood, as well as burning stubble, herbaceous material and brushwood, use fireworks on the occasion of parties and solemnities , in areas other than those specifically identified and in any case without prior authorization from the competent bodies, carry out any other operation that could create immediate fire danger such as throwing matches, cigars or cigarettes and any other type of lit or incandescent material. All owners, possessors and tenants of land, have the obligation, by the month of October, to keep the land free from grass, branches, dry leaves or other combustible materials at least for a 20 meter band from the embankment or quay.
