Latina, yet another undertaking of the Fiamme oro Sabaudia of the State Police

The Fiamme Oro Sabaudia State Police Sports Group(in the province of Latina) was undisputed protagonist of the international Canoe Kayak season in the Olympic Qualification Race and the World Cup in Maty-Éri in Szeged (Hungary) which took place from 8 to 12 May.

In the first two days of the appointment, the Qualifying Races valid for assigning the last places up for grabs for Paris 2024 gave the Fiamme Oro a further share in addition to that achieved in the C2 500 Meters by Ag.S. Tacchini and the Ag. Casadei at the World Cup last year. The great feat was accomplished by the Ag.S. Craciun Nicolae who sealed his first participation in the Olympic Games by gaining the pass in the C1 1000 Meters.

Thus the Italian expedition to the Olympics expands, totally made up of athletes from the Fiamme Oro Sports Group.

“It’s a dream I’ve chased for years and which today came true.” declared the Ag.S. Craciun at the end of the race. “I knew I had worked well during the winter preparation but I arrived here without expectations, trying to do my best and I’m happy to have succeeded. I feel an immense joy that I want to share with all the State Police and with my family, in particular with my father who introduced me to this sport and with my brother (Ass. Craciun Sergiu, former Canadian canoe athlete) because this is the dream that we have chased together for years and I am happy to be able to give him this emotion.”

In addition to the Olympic Qualifiers, the Szeged competition field also hosted the World Cup in the following three days.

Great success for the Ag. Della Giustina Olympia who won a historic Bronze in the Women’s C1 500 Meters and gave Italy and the Fiamme Oro the first Canadian Women’s medal in the international field.

Italy climbs to the top step of the podium with the Gold of the C2 1000 Meters of the Ag.S. Tacchini and Ag. Casadei, which brought the Azzurri to the top, winning the victory by a wide margin. In the same race Sixth place for the other Italian boat made up of Ag. Alfonsi Mattia and the Ag. Szela Dawid.
