Preventing skin cancer, meeting in San Benedetto

San Benedetto del T.(Ap).- Skin cancers are the most common in Italy, and their incidence is increasing. Early diagnosis is essential for effective treatment, as it significantly increases the chances of recovery. With a simple dermatological examination, it is possible to detect atypical moles and other skin tumors early, thus increasing the chances of successful treatment. This topic will be discussed on Saturday 18 May, in Piazza Giorgini in San Benedetto del Tronto, at 4.30 pm.

The initiative, organized at a national level by the ADECA Scientific Society, the Inner Wheel and the Rotary Club of San Benedetto del Tronto, in collaboration with the Rotary Club San Benedetto del Tronto Nord, the Rotaract of San Benedetto del Tronto and the Red Cross local, with the patronage of the Municipality of San Benedetto del Tronto. The aim is to raise awareness among citizens of the importance of early diagnosis of melanoma and other forms of skin cancer.

During the afternoon, it will be possible to carry out free dermatological visits coordinated by Dr. Lucia Villa and Dr. Antonio Passaretti. Volunteers will also be available to provide information on skin cancers, their risk factors and how to prevent them.
