“Ma’am, can we help you with the shopping?” With this excuse, the kind tone and polite manner, they approached a 70 year old woman from Rimini. There were two robbers, both of South American origin, at least according to the victim’s story, one on foot and one on a bicycle. With a very quick move, one of them pounced on the old woman, snatching the gold necklace she was carrying with her. Then the breakneck escape. It happened yesterday, around 12.30, in the stadium area. The victim of the ‘tear’ fortunately did not suffer any wounds or injuries, but a very bad scare and a lot of anger over her precious necklace being taken away from her. After the episode, the 70-year-old immediately went to the police to file a complaint. The military immediately started investigations. Video footage from surveillance cameras in the area was acquired. The woman said that she was returning home after doing the shopping: the criminals saw her having difficulty with the bags and approached with the excuse of giving her a hand, before robbing her.
