They were traveling aboard three scooters and after having fired several gunshots in the air they would have done the same on the outskirts of the town between the hamlets of Praticello and Taneto in the municipality of Gattatico. While in the first case the criminal conduct was caught on camera, in the second episode the blitz was detected by a witness who, in addition to raising the alarm to 112, managed to photograph the three mopeds, taking the license plates. The police from the Gattatico station were sent to the scene and identified the witness and found that the three young people had left.
The subsequent investigations supported by both the witness statements and the photo taken allowed the military to trace two of the alleged perpetrators. In the home of one of whom, during the relevant searches delegated by the Public Prosecutor’s Office at the juvenile court, a Bruni brand blank pistol was found.
Subsequently, the third minor showed up at the police station in Gattatico, accompanied by his mother, and spontaneously handed over the other blank pistol to the police, the subsequent confiscation of which was validated by the juvenile judicial authority. For these reasons, the Carabinieri of the Gattatico station have reported three minors aged between 16 and 17 years old residing in the Reggio Emilia area, who were presumed responsible for the crime of dangerous explosions in competition and for two of them also of illegal porting of weapons.
The related proceedings, in the preliminary investigation phase, will continue for the usual investigative investigations. The facts date back to the afternoon of April 27th, when a patrol from the Gattatico station, following input from the operator on duty at 112, intervened in the municipality of Gattatico as several explosions of gunshots had been reported. Once on site, the workers identified the applicant, who said that, shortly before, some young people who had arrived on board three scooters had stopped along Via Canale Spelta, on the outskirts of the town and had fired several gunshots.
