Pantofola d’Oro pays homage to John Charles with Panini

Pantofola d’Oro joins forces with collecting icon Panini in a capsule tribute to the legendary Juventus player John Charles.

The shoe, entirely handmade and made of calfskin, is white in color and features the iconic colored figurine of John Charles on the tongue of the upper. The upper is entirely lined in resin-coated nylon, while the pre-formed rigid heel counter is protective and stabilising.

The high quality boot company from the Marche region owes its name to the Juventus footballer who, after trying on a model, declared ‘This is not a boot, it’s a slipper… a golden slipper’ (editor’s note: This is not a shoe , this is a slipper… A golden slipper).

The limited edition is available on the Pantofola d’Oro e-shop. The brand, born in the first half of the 20th century in Ascoli Piceno by Emidio Lazzarini, has dressed the feet of illustrious footballers throughout its history, including Real Madrid stars Muller, Puskas and Di Stefano.
