The Faremoforesta association, which deals with landscape design and environmental teaching, and Legambiente Arcipelago Toscano will create an Aromatic Spiral in the VerdeBlu Giovanna Neri classroom in Mola. The appointment is Saturday 18 May from 9.00 to 13.00.
Faremoforesta explains that “In the shape of a landscape there is the essence of the elements that represent it, the identity that generated it and animates it, the first communicative image towards us human beings. Even in the design and creation of a simple flowerbed it is possible to implement the principles and values of permanent agriculture that can be applied in a public space as well as in the garden of your own home. The spiral of aromatic herbs is a raised bed with a design of the same name, in which over 15 medicinal botanical species are grown. Its creation takes into account the type of soil and the drainage necessary for the plants that will be planted there as well as their exposure and water needs. The botanical species will then be the subject of a series of practical workshops on site for children and families. Creating a spiral of aromatic herbs is an experience that celebrates the harmonious forms of Nature, offers different types of habitats in a small space, contributes to the attraction of bees and pollinating insects, and constitutes a real phytopharmaceutical available for the care of plants , of the garden, of ourselves”.
The initiative is aimed at everyone, in the hope of spreading scientific culture and multiplying places of harmony and defense of biodiversity in our territory.
