There have always been dangers linked to the wrong diet, especially if subject to contamination, such as in particular some products which are linked to a relatively short shelf life, such as dairy products or direct milk. The Ministry of Health is naturally the entity that does its utmost to check any communications and develop warnings which are naturally then subject to various analyses. If there appear to be risks to the health of citizens, entire lots can actually be withdrawn from the market entirely. For safety reasons related to the health of citizens it is better not to drink this milk which appears to have been withdrawn from the market.
“Don’t drink this milk!”: be careful, here’s what was withdrawn by the Ministry of Health
Milk in Italy is produced in most cases by the cattle used for this task and Italy is one of the nations where this extremely useful product, even for adults, is most consumed. Being a product that tends to have an average short-term expiry date, with the exception of long-life variants, it is also relatively fragile from various contaminations.
In this period several batches of fresh milk were actually withdrawn from supermarkets where they had naturally previously been available for sale, officially as noted by the Ministry of Health for “anomalous taste” which naturally implies some form of contamination.
Specifically, the alarm began with a report linked to the types of partially skimmed fresh milk developed by Latteria Soresina and which are also included for sale in this report by Carrefour, Migross and Iper.
The batch in question was produced by the factory located in via Dei Mille 13/17, in Soresina, in the province of Cremona, and concerns only the fresh milk developed on the specific day with expiry date of 9 May 2024, therefore all other deadlines are not be part of the notice.
As highlighted by a note from the company and then confirmed by the Ministry of Health, this is a precautionary measure aimed at not developing real risks but as a precaution given the organoleptic risk, the consumption of this particular batch must be avoided, and the product may be reported at the point of purchase, in order to obtain a replacement or refund.
